Clubs and Activities

At Fulwell Community Centre, we offer a range of clubs and activities to cater to the needs of our community.

We are dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all our visitors.

Art Club

Fulwell Art Club is a small group of local people that enjoy sketching and painting. We are of mixed abilities and tend not to take ourselves too seriously.

Watercolour, acrylics, oils or just a humble pencil may be seen being used. There are occasional still-life arrangements set out that we do as a group, but usually members progress whatever artwork they wish.

Please note this is a club, not a class. Members are happy to pass on tips and advice on materials or techniques, but there is no tutor.

Do come and join us; new members are always made welcome.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan) is at once a moving meditation, a sophisticated martial art and a powerful mind-body health system based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Immediate benefits include improved balance (especially useful in preventing falls), posture, coordination, breathing, stamina and concentration. It is very effective in dealing with stress. Tai Chi is especially relevant to our stressful, rapidly changing times since it requires you to embody the Yin-Yang principles of dynamic balance.

It is a unique, comprehensive and profound life art with yourself as the work in progress! Tai Chi may easily be adapted for those with special needs
